Asus finally announced their latest and most exciting ZenFones yet, during the Zennovation Press Event at CES 2017 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The ZenFone 3 Zoom and ZenFone AR are the two new upcoming smartphones coming soon this year.
The ZenFone AR comes with augmented-reality (AR) technology and it is the first smartphone that is both Tango and Daydream ready. ZenFone AR is the thinnest and lightest Tango enabled device. It comes with a 5.7 inch Super AMOLED WQHD display of 2560×1440 resolution for the Immersive VR and Daydream experience and the new five magnet speaker makes the Daydream VR apps, games, and videos more immersive and entertaining.
ZenFone AR is the world’s first 8GB RAM smartphone. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor (optimized for Tango) and Adreno 530 GPU. It also has the Vapor Cooling system to prevent the common issue of overheating, so that you won’t face any heating problem while using the AR/VR.
In the Camera department it features a all new Asus’s Tricam System which includes a main camera sensor and two more camera sensors for Motion Tracking and Depth Sensing. The main Camera sensor is a 23 MP, f/2.0 Sony IMX318 sensor with TriTech Auto focus, 4-axis OIS + EIS video stabilization, 3x optical zoom, Laser AF, PDAF, Dual LED Flash and Pixel Master Camera Technology.
The ZenFone AR computes so many operations at a very high speed and all of it is backed up by a 3300 mah battery which comes with BoostMaster Fast Charging Technology and it can be charge 60% battery capacity in just 39 minutes with supplied Boost Master 18W charger.
The ZenFone 3 Zoom features a dual-camera system and it is also the world’s slimmest smartphone which stores a high capacity battery of 5000 mAh. It comes with a 5.5 inch FHD AMOLED display of 1920×1080 resolution with 500nits brightness and Gorilla Glass 5 Protection.
ZenFone 3 Zoom’s dual-camera system features two different 12MP cameras, one with a f/1.7-aperture, 25mm wide-angle lens for normal shooting and a second with a 59mm lens for a 2.3X optical zoom that is perfect for portraits and capturing distant subjects. The new improved TriTech+ auto-focus system automatically chooses among three auto-focus technologies i.e, Dual Pixel PDAF, Subject Tracking Auto-focus, and Second Generation Laser Focus. ZenFone 3 Zoom is also the first ASUS smartphone with SuperPixel camera technology that enables it to focus instantly and capture clear photos in low-light environments.
ZenFone 3 Zoom comes with a power efficient Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor with Adreno 506 GPU and 4GB RAM for multitasking and upto 32/64/128GB ROM and it is backed up by a 5000mAh battery that fits in to the super body phone of just 7.9mm thickness that weighs just 170 grams.
Their is no words on the pricing yet but the ZenFone 3 Zoom and ZenFone AR will be available from February 2017 and Q2 2017 Respectively.
